Unitec Semicondutores is the largest and most modern semiconductor industry in the Southern Hemisphere, and a project of this kind could only rely on the specialist knowledge and advanced technology offered by TENTI. Unitec is a partnership formed by Corporación América, Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (BDMG), and the companies IBM Corporation, Matec and WS In Tecs.
The factory, located in Ribeirão das Neves, Minas Gerais, concentrates the production of integrated circuits for numerous applications, including smart cities, IoT (Internet of Things) projects, bank and identification cards, SIM cards, industrial solutions, wireless communications and life sciences, involving sensor and microfluidic technology.
Unitec Semicondutores produces the future and therefore contracted TENTI to support its activities.
TENTI consequently undertook a comprehensive project to integrate Unitec’s technology platform, beginning with remediation and updating of the installed SAP environment and ending with mobility solutions to facilitate overall company management. The plan also includes integration of the factory’s different machines, together with their protocols and communication methods, connected to the Equipment Integration layer of the MES (Inframe Synapse); accounting and tax bookkeeping; asset management; inventory control; implementation of eSocial, HR, EHS and Business Intelligence modules; and migration to SAP S/4HANA.
